From our beginnings as the Krewe of Elvis to the present day KOE,
our main goal is to spread the Mardi Gras cheer and revel without
abandon.
Since 1998, the KOE Marching club has provided countless hours
of entertainment and socialization for it's membership. Being a
cyber based Krewe (the oldest and only Mardi Gras krewe of its
kind) we bring a diverse membership to the Big Easy. With
members from all walks of life, views, and customs, the diversity of
our membership ranks is sure to please.
The KOE leadership is comprised of the Krewe Captain and his
appointed Lieutenants. Together they work on a year round basis
to provide entertaining events during your Mardi Gras trip.
Throughout the year the KOE conducts chats and daily banter on
the official KOE members only page. This page is for members only
and is a great way to get to know the other members. We also
publish a monthly Newsletter, hold raffles, and other special events
online. So the KOE is so much more than just a few days during
Carnival...
During the days leading up to Fat Tuesday the KOE holds informal
meet ups at the unofficial home bar of the KOE Papa Joes Original
TI, located on the corner of Bourbon and Toulouse in the heart of
the French Quarter. In addition to those meet ups the KOE holds 2
official Krewe events...the KOE Lundi Gras Party and the KOE
"parade".
Our KOE Lundi Gras Party (LGP) is as old as the KOE is itself. Each
year members and guests converge on Lundi Gras (The Monday
before Mardi Gras) to feast on local cuisine and partake in ritual of
downing large amounts of libations. In 2012 we will once again
gather at G.W. Finns restaurant. Tickets to this event are sold to
members only, although guest tickets are available to those
members. The LGP usually lasts a couple of hours and then is
proceeded with a second line down Bourbon St. to our watering
hole, the lil TI to continue the party.
The following morning the KOE meets at 10:15 A.M. in front of the
St. Louis Cathedral for its annual "parade" beginning at 10:30 A.M.
give or take. Each year the KOE winds throughout the French
Quarter occasionally stopping for libations along the way. We
encourage members to dress along with the theme and hand out
our special KOE throws (For members only) to the awaiting crowds.
Once our parade is finished (Usually 1.5-2 hours) we go for more
drinks....do you see a reoccurring theme here? Of course at the TI.

pick a theme for the coming

merchandise is for
MEMBERS only and it is
highly sought after.
Each year we produce
medallion beads featuring
our theme artwork. But in
addition to that we often
manufacture other trinkets
